Harvesting, how it used to be. December 2006 at Stockinbingal

The Society holds regular monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of each month with the exception of January. The meetings commence at 7:30 pm in the Cootamundra Ex - Services and Citizens Club, corner of Parker and Wallendoon Streets. The meetings consist of general club business, news of upcoming events and a talk from a member about an old machinery restoration project.

Members interests cover stationary petrol and diesel engines some over 100 years old and still running, various tractors covering older spade lug tractors and not so old rubber tyred tractors, a variety of small machinery, old tools and collectables.

There are many gatherings of like-minded people in the area and society members often travel with their "Old Machinery" to these neighbouring events where they talk shop with like minded people and demonstrate their restored machinery. At an Australia Day 2006 gathering at Wombat 4 members received recognition for their displays.

The society organises a rally every other year. The next rally is planned for 18 and 19 April 2009.
